The Massed Pipes and Drums are joined by the RAF’s Massed Military Bands and an array of international talent to perform the 2026 tattoo, with narration by Rebus star Richard Rankin.

‘A Call to Gather’ is the theme of the annual spectacular from Edinburgh Castle featuring an assembled array of international talent, narrated by Rebus star, Richard Rankin.

The Massed Pipes and Drums, the Tattoo Fiddlers and Highland Dancers lead 'the call', providing a captivating showcase of the very best of Scottish culture against the stunning backdrop of the castle.

This year, it’s the RAF’s turn to provide the Massed Military Bands, and they take the opportunity to demonstrate their musical prowess with a soaring repertoire whilst the RAF’s King’s Colour Squadron dazzle with a visual display of split-second timing.

From across the globe, the international line-up includes the Qatar Police Academy Band and Drill Team, the German Army Band Koblenz, the New Zealand Army Band, and celebrating the USA’s 250th anniversary, the United States Army Field Band. As ever, the lone piper provides a poignant moment before the spectacular finale.
